Welcome to the new www.naugatuckpost17.org .  The officers and members of Naugatuck Post #17 realized that we need to communicate better with our membership.  With this in mind, the Post has started this website.  The hope is that you will review the website often to keep track of the happenings of the Legion Family here in Naugatuck.  We also hope that by keeping you informed, you will want to become more actively involved in your Post and therefore in your community.

Baseball Boosters Needed

The high school baseball season has ended and it is time for Naugatuck Post #17 to prepare two teams for an exciting summer season of great competitive baseball.
Everything is in place; we have excellent coaches - full equipment - heavy schedules - insurance - great players and a good chance to be zone champions again.
All that is needed now is help from loyal sponsors to help defray the $5,000 to $6,000 cost of this worthwhile program.
All of our costs have increased - umpires - equipment - uniforms - bats - balls - insurance - you name it.  Coaches - managers, etc. do NOT get paid and it sure does help to know many generous people share with us the knowledge that keeping young athletes busy during the summer months is a positive thing.
Several fund raising activities are planned.  However, this Booster Club has worked well in the past and I hope it will be successful again this year.
Donations are as follows: Single Club (1-9 Dollars), Double Club (10-24 Dollars), Triple Club (25-49 Dollars), Home Run Club (50-100 Dollars) and Grand Slam Club (Over 100 Dollars).
Please go to bat for us and perhaps come to a couple of games.  The schedules will be in the local papers.
Checks should be made payable to "Post 17 Baseball Fund" and mailed to the following address:
