Regular Meeting Minutes – 01/06/2010
Following the Boys /Girls State program - Commander Ronald Fischer called the regular meeting of Post #17 to order at 8:35 PM.
Following opening ceremonies and prayer,

Finance Officer D.Alegi gave a Financial report through December 31,2009.
Bingo – Robert Shaw reported that there seems to be a slight gain in number of players

Boys State – John DeBisschop thanked all for attending the Boys/Girls State program

Jr.Vice Joe Ranazzasi doing wellPast Commanders F.Johnson and Bill Goggin not doing well – cards sent to all.
P.S.O. report:
J.Guisti reported 12 cases with SSMF, 3 with the DVA. The bBingo account is at $1,653 and Sealed Ticket is at $453.78. Jack reported 1 trip to Newington and 2 to west haven to transport Veterans.Unfinished Business: None

Correspondence:
All correspondence were read, and filed or posted. and the following acted upon: Motion made 2nd and passed to fund little Pal Basketball team and to Sponsor a Brick for $100 at the 43 Infantry Division Memorial Project in Connecticut.
Good of Legion:
Commander Fischer appointed member Andy Morrisy as Post Judge Advocate
With no further business to come before the membership, and scheduling the next meeting for Feb.3,2010 Commander Fischer adjourned the meeting at 8:50 PM

Commander Ronald Fischer called the regular meeting of Post #17 to order at 7:30 PM.

Minutes from the November 4, 2009 meeting were read and accepted as read
New Members / Guests
Finance Officer D.Alegi gave a Financial report through November 30, 2009. A discussion followed among membership concerning the budget, with Dom stating that we went over budget with some expenses that were not in the budget and on the revenue side the Rentals did well above the budget while Bingo was well below budget. Dom next presented the proposed budget for 2010. After a short review and discussion by membership a motion was made, 2nd and passed to accept the 2010 Budget as presented by the finance Officer.
Bingo – Robert Shaw reported that there has been a slight increase in the player count with some new people showing up and changes in the bingo format are going well so far.

Boys State – John DeBisschop remined members that there will be a Boys /Girls state Night prior to next months regular meeting on Jan.6th. There will be a pot luck at 6:30 followed by the program.
Sick Call : Past Commander Jerry Legere passed away motion made 2nd passed to make donation to Memorial fund and card sent. Get well cards to :Lou Moniz, Irv Southard, and Frank Johnson

New Business: Assistant Adjutant B.English stated that we have 33 members remaining not paid for the current membership year, He distributed a list and asked members for help in getting these members to pay their membership dues.

All correspondence were read, and filed or posted. and the following acted upon: Motion made 2nd and passed to send the following delegates to the Mid-Winter Conference :Cmdr.Fischer, R. Cole, R.Shaw, S.Collins
Good of Legion: Fran Keith presented to the Post an American Legion Banner that came from Frank Sousa’s widow. He next mentioned that the thanksgiving dinner at the Church was a big success and thanked the Post for their support.
Commander Fischer Mentioned the Veterans Day Parade and thanked SR.Vice Larry Pearl for a job well done.
With no further business to come before the membership, and scheduling the next meeting for Jan 6,2010 Commander Fischer adjourned the meeting at 8:20 PM
